Atmospheres makes writing feel like a ceremony, a celebration, and a feast.
Together, we will drink psychedelic potions – distilled from zodiacal atmospheres.
We will create writing as singular, rich, and indelible as fairy tales.
Every ten days, you will receive a digital potion that distils the essence of that atmosphere. Each potion is illustrated by the artist Kening Zhu.
There are two weekly live ritual options for each potion.

There is also a special workshop for each zodiacal season once a month.

What will happen during the live rituals?
I will attune us to the seasonal shifts, give tiny practice notes, and offer accountability, guidance and creative sparks. I will send you down rabbit holes to help you to generate new material, and to rewild, revise, and transform work in progress.
I will hold space for us to be present, soft, and safe. To slow down and be curious together.
What happens between sessions might just alter the course of your project.

Atmospheres is an ongoing project that follows the seasons. You can join on a monthly basis, and leave or rejoin at any time. The cost is £50 per month. If the cost is a barrier, you are welcome to join us for free, as a gift. You will have exactly the same access as the paid subscription.

Mystery School – Liminal Spaces
We will be thinking about the liminal spaces in the poetry of Joshua Jennifer Espinoza and Kim Yi-deum, the differences between portals and thresholds, the recent liminal horror film Skinamarink, holes in the film Inland Empire, and images of empty shopping malls and cursed buildings in the subreddit liminalspaces.
Winter Solstice Workshop
This solstice workshop will offer a chance to pause and reflect at the darkest moment of the year.
We will think about the concept of wintering, and how to introduce rest and recovery into our writing practice.
Into the Forest
Together we will explore the journey to the heart of the forest in folk and fairy tales. There will be time to generate the seeds of creative projects, and to set intentions for the coming season.
Gold in the Dark Retreat
Gold in the Dark is a two-day digital retreat for witchy writers who want to celebrate solstice rituals, open their intuition, and write.
