Objects: A Pisces Workshop

Dr Elif Gülez will be leading a free online workshop for Ceremony at the end of Pisces season on Friday 20th March at 2-3.30pm (UK time)

This special event will consider the power of objects, nostalgia, and childhood as the dreamy season comes to a close.

This is a public event for writers across forms and genres. All welcome.

Dr Gülez is a Turkish writer with a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Warwick. Her research is focused on migration, translation, and displaced memories. She writes both in her mother tongue Turkish, and her second language, English. Elif lives in Leamington Spa, teaches creative writing at the University of Warwick, and works as a kitchen assistant in a local Japanese restaurant specialised in home-style cooking. Her debut novel, Midilli Operasyonu (Operation Mitilini) was published by the Istanbul-based independent publisher istos, in a feminist art gallery in Ayvalık where it is set, and received a warm welcome from diverse audiences.
