act two, part three – Unearthing

Unearthing comes at the midpoint of the story. As the name suggests, there is something unearthed, or excavated, that changes the course of the narrative.

This is often something that has been driving the story in complex, and disguised or hidden ways. Now it is more clearly revealed.

This section corresponds to Virgo season, a time of transition between high summer and early autumn.

This is the time of the equinox, when there is an equal amount of daylight and darkness – instead of light or shadow taking precedence, there is a balance. Nothing can be obscured by either brilliance or darkness, but, the whole truth is yet to be uncovered.

In however minor a way, there is a reversal, or transformation, at this point in the story.

Unearthing is broken down into three further sections:

• Initation: The Craft

• Immersion: Blackberrying

• Transition: Bruise Violet
