Zone Rite – One

In this series, I will capture process notes on creativity and magic.

This morning, I woke just before seven and sat in the living room. The pink light reflected in the copper of the lamp on an otherwise gloomy morning. It was brighter on the silver fittings and a rosy blush on the beaten copper bowl.

I listened to Grey Frequencies and thought about how paranormal investigators use sound to capture ghostly frequencies. It made me think about one of the characters in my novel in progress, a musician, and whether she might soundtrack a horror film.

Associated concepts:

Berberian Sound Studio, a horror film within a film present only through its audio, and the band Broadcast who produced the soundtrack to the imaginary film.
